Actually back in the day when they were bred for hunting bears (or hunting rats as I heard it) they would shave them to keep their fur to keep it from matting. They would leave large amounts around their ankles and legs to help keep their legs warm and they believed it would be good for the joints as well. Then it became fashionable to shave your dog to look retarded. And the picture is probably from a reality show contest on the animal planet channel called something like the ultimate groomer or some stupid thing but the show actually exists and this is an entry Im sure..

I’ve seen this before. It’s a haircut innovative competetion for dogs. There should be a lot of photos for other dogs like this one. It has nothing to do with fashion, it’s just for the prize.
