No Bret, they are from the south, and unfortunately they think it was spelled correctly. Believe me, what Virginians, Carolinians, and Georgians can do to the English/American language is a felony. Good thing it wasn’t a Birfday cake.

Best thing about America? Freedom of speech. For example, we are allowed to say what we want, how we want to, and as loud and annoying as possible. In short, we are free to act, talk, and be as stupid as we wish. Southerners can talk like idiots, Northerners can act like idiots, and all Americans can be idiots. Just say no to sterotypes.
