My guess is that they’re doing a helicopter drop- food wouldn’t stay put in free fall, so they’re suspended from something and ready to peel backwards to sky dive? That or they super glued everything to the table!

They have a picnic, then jump off and sky dive… Hence, a ’skydiving picnic”
