Awesome. The old addage about ” what will it look like in x years” doesnt apply anymore. The needles of today are hundreds of times sharper than those of 50 or 60 years ago. When you see an “old” tattoo, you gotta keep in mind that those needles were probably from a sewing machine, or worse, handmade. This may come as a complete suprise to most, but those “old” tattoos, that look like crap now, probably looked like crap then, too. The bar just wasnt set quite as high in the quality area. A sharper needle equals more crisp lines and less damaging fill in. I have tattos that are comming up on being 20 years old, and are still as sharp, bright and colorful as the day they were applied, because my artist had great skills, modern equipment, and presence of mind to inform me about the destructive nature of sunlight and proper aftercare. This artist has unbelieveable skills and im sure that after sitting that many hours, the canvas will surely invest in alot of lotion and sunblock to keep his skin pliable and protect his sizeable investment. I know i did.
@Aki when say what it will look like in 10yrs they mean when the guy gets a beer gut and love handles and loses muscle tone
No matter how Sharp the Needle nor how good the ink will prevent the Bellybutton Dolphin TAT from becoming a Humpback Whale after she pops out a few Kids
not my thing, but its incredibly well done. To sweetie pie – no it wouldnt’ve taken years, more likely a few months. To figureskater – why would a tattoo cause his mother to stop being proud of her son? I dont know what sort of mother you have, but my mum bases her pride in my on my merits, achievements and good deeds, not what I choose to do with my body.
For Peter’s sake, CAN SOMEBODY PLEASE STOP USING THE TIRED CLICHE ABOUT WHAT IT LOOKS LIKE IN N YEARS TIME.
I have tattoos too. Yes, my mum would rather I didn’t, but HEY NEWSFLASH – it’s my body not hers. Mine. I am the only person who has to see it every day until I die, not mom, and not you.
And if I sag or it fades, so what? I’ll remember what it was like. And if it doesn’t look so good anymore whatever will I do? I mean, great disaster. HEY, I KNOW, I’LL WEAR A SHIRT. Problem solved.
Never mind the thumbs down this is beatiful a tatto tells alot about a person and one is they appreciate art, it’s this person whom carrys this art on his back none of you it’s his forever and it is a job well done hats off to the artist.
Fantastic Tattoo! Funny I should run into this today as just yesterday I came across the web site of an Artist named Guy Aitchison. This looks like his work. If you want to be amazed – go to http://images.hyperspacestudios.com/guy_gallery_index.html – Be prepared to spend a lot of time there! Don’t say I didn’t warn you.
obviously there are opinions either way as to getting a Chaos Warrior tattooed on your back being a good or bad idea. What i’d like to contribute is that either way…the artist is astounding….for those who haven’t seen it, that looks almost exactly like the art it is referencing….very good tattoo work
